Cameras & sensors

Park and reverse with confidence. All pick-up variants come with a reversing camera, while SR5 and Rogue pick-ups feature an additional 6 sensors front and rear, with sonar detection status visible on the display [S1].

Power and torque

With up to 150kW of power and 500Nm of torque, HiLux offers the grunt you need to go harder, faster and further.

Towing power

Load up. Toyota towing technology means 4x4 HiLux variants have a 3.5 tonne braked towing capacity [G6].

4x4

The HiLux SR 4x4 Double Cab Auto, SR5 and Rogue feature rear differential lock, low range 4WD and Downhill Assist Control^[S1].

Downhill Assist Control

Simply push a button to activate Downhill Assist Control, designed to help you avoid locking up on slippery, steep and rocky downhill sections. Standard on SR 4x4 Double-Cab Auto, SR5 4x4 and Rogue.

Road Sign Assist

Front mounted smart cameras recognise certain Australian speed signs and alert you when it's time to change your speed^[S1].

Pre-Collision Safety system

Using the HiLux’s built-in camera and radar, the Pre-Collision Safety (PCS) system has been designed to alert you when a frontal collision is likely with another vehicle, pedestrian or Daytime Cyclist, and if required will help you apply the right amount of brake pressure^[S1].

Trailer Sway Control

Stay on the straight and narrow and tow safely. HiLux comes standard with Trailer Sway Control, an intelligent safety technology designed to correct and help minimise sway [S1].

Lane Departure Alert

The HiLux will sound a buzzer and display a visual warning on the Multi-Information Display, if it senses you have veered out of your lane while travelling at more than 50km/h[S1].

High-Speed Active Cruise Control

Using its built-in camera and front-grille-mounted radar, HiLux keeps you at a pre-selected speed, automatically accelerating and decelerating with the traffic in front[S1].
